Ranchi: To maintain pseudo prestige in the society, unnecessarily we are adopting materialism culture which has adversely effected our environment. We are all culprit because since a long time, we are taking advantage of our natural resources for our better artificial life style and in this race we are harassing our nature, said HRD Minister of Jharkhand Baidnath Ram in the inaugural session of 4^th International seminar on “Anthropogenic Impact on Environment and Convention Strategy” in Ranchi on Friday, organized by national Environmentalists Association with the joint collaboration with department of zoology R.U and department of zoology and botany St. Xavier College Ranchi.     As a chief guest in this seminar Ram stressed to implement the outcome of such seminars in the ground level and to ensure the responsibilities toward the nature. He said that the environmental imbalance can be reduced by plantation only and it can be in practical when we will understand our duties for the nature.     In the inaugural session of the seminar Prof. C De Brouwer welcomed the participants by his speech and stressed in the necessity to re change the environmental parameters, he said that such seminar in the state will enhance the environmental awareness among the people.Prof. S.K Sen of Vishwa Bharti, Shanti Niketan,Dr. D. Raha (Australia) and Dr. Shivlok Goswami of department of Zoology, Cuttak University has been awarded by “NEA research fellowship” while dr. M.C Dash has been awarded by life time achievement for about 120 international research and 80 national research.       In this program V.C of Ranchi University Dr. L.N Bhagat, NEA secretary Prof. K. Barar was also present.        

हिन्दी पखवाड़ा या हिन्दी का पितृपक्ष

हिन्दु मान्यताओं के अनुसार वर्ष का एक विषेष पक्ष को पितरों के लिए समर्पित किया गया है। अर्थात उस विषेष पाक्षिक अन्तराल में पूर्वजों के आत्मा की षांति के लिए विषेष अनुष्ठान संपन्न किए जाते है।
भारत के सरकारी बाबुओं के द्वारा भी मातृभाषा के लिए एक पक्ष निर्धारित किया गया है, जिसे बड़े ही उत्साह से ‘हिन्दी पखवाड़ा’ के रूप में अंग्रेजी माह के सितम्बर के 14 वी तिथि के बाद के पखवाड़े में मनाया जाता है। और इस वर्ष भी हिन्दी का यह ‘पितृपक्ष उत्सव’ उत्सव बड़े ही धुमधाम से मनाया गया। वर्ष के पन्द्रह दिन बड़ी मुष्किल से ये हिन्दी में काम-काज करने को तैयार हुए और स्वयं को हिन्दी प्रेमी के विषेषण से संबोधित करने के लिए कई कार्यक्रम आयोजित किए।
स्वयं को अंगेजी के निकट मानने वाले ऐसे केवल सरकारी बाबु ही नही है, बल्कि देष में एक व्यापक समूह है जो स्वयं को हिन्दी के साथ असहज महसुस करता है और अंग्रेजी में बोलना अपना ‘स्टेट्स सिंबल’ मानता है।
गूगल और फेसबुक की दुनिया में भी पितृपक्ष के इस ‘षुभ’ अवसर पर हिन्दी को श्रद्धा सुमन अर्पित करने वालों का तांता लगा रहा, टूटी फूटी भाषा में हिन्दी को श्रद्धांजलि चढ़ाने वालों की लंबी कतार देखने को मिली और सबो ने तर्पण कर अपनी मातृभाषा के प्रति अगाध प्रेम का प्रदर्षन किया।
हिन्दी के प्रति यह पाक्षिक प्रेम क्या तर्कसंगत है? क्या हिन्दी की लोकप्रियता ऐसे यदा कदा के आयोजनों से संभव है? क्या पन्द्रह दिनों के लिए इसे ‘यूज़’ करने वाले वाकई हिन्दी के प्रति सचमुच चिंतनषील है?
ऐसे ढकोसले बंद होने चाहिए, हिन्दी कि वैज्ञानिकता व लोकप्रियता किसी कार्यक्रम की प्रतीक्षा नही करती, सरकारी कार्यालयों में मात्र पन्द्रह दिनों की अतिथि बनाकर हम अपनी मातृभाषा का कोई सम्मान नही कर रहे, बल्कि इसका तर्पण कर रहे है।

FDI: Full of Political Stunt

Retailing is one of the pillars of Indian economy which consists of 14-15% of its GDP. An unorganized sector in which, about 40 millions of people (3.3% of the total Population) are involved as in various form of employment. The Cocoon type of self employment has least competition among them. Such least competition provide an environment of cooperation where the survival of millions of small businessman being made possible.

But recently Govt. of India is trying to bring the Foreign Capital in this sector, in the form of FDI.

They argue that the arrival of FDI will not affect retailers in any way and it will increase the competition in this sector so the quality of the commodity can be improved. The farmers of the Country will be freed from the clutches of middleman. But the question is here how the small capitalist of the retail sector can compete with tycoons like WALMART? And even the contract farming assures about the contract but there will be restriction not to produce other than the contract, in this condition the profit oriented farming of MNCs harsh the quality of the soil also.

The statistics says that in last decades about 4000 small grocery shops got closed due to tough competition with WALMART in USA. Hence the Indian scenario is quite different from the other developed countries like America. A small businessman, who runs a shop of about 100-200 square feet, cannot compete with the multi stories shops like WALMART. Even there would be a competition between them no doubt that the survival of small shopkeepers depends upon the taste of the customers, but in recent years the taste of the customers have changed dramatically. The retail chain like “Subhiksha” and “Reliance fresh” have provided various options of shopping and a large numbers of customer they have grabbed.

At the phase of Globalization when the whole world has come in a village and an open market concept, we cannot tavern the vendors either it is tycoon or a small shopkeeper. But we should build our industrial environment before doing competition with such big competitors; revival of economy should be started from the grass root levels. We should transform our unorganized sector into an organized sector at domestic level before implementing tough competition like FDI. If we succeed to organize our small industries as well retailing there would be a possibility to establish ourselves at the global platform.

We are almost same in the no. of population to the China...but in the London Olympic our performance is quite poor, hardly we got the 3 medal hardly and even not a single Gold.

Doesn't it show the poor quality of the sports here...at one side we are pouring baskets of money for the cricket and in another side we our athletics still struggling for the sports infrastructure...our ministers are the chairpersons of almost all games who doesn't know the ABC of that..

Can we imagine improvement in this scenario.....?

before the era of facebook, almost we all were the school students, holding cute bags on shoulders and a water bottle in front...and used to wait for the final bell and after that no teacher no mam.....just only cricket masti and badmashiyaan....and the happiness after over the exam....oh can't explain......but the things have changed now..the tension still remains after the exams and the final bell of the office..teachers and seniors also keep eye through facebook..girlfriends and wives became more dangerous than earlier..every comments and friends in facebook is a big question mark for them.........

Ranchi lad awarded by NASA

Vivek Ranjan an ex student of DAV Bariatu,2008 batch Ranchi, grabbed second position in an international competition on ‘Planetary Atmospheric Entry Vehicle’ organised by The American Astronautical Society (AAS) and the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) at Texas, and sponsored by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) and Naval Research Laboratory (NRL). He was a member of the winning team WELKINSAT of the SRM University.

A group of 11 students of the SRM University had successfully launched CanSat, a model satellite to read atmospheric conditions. Under the leadership of Sidhant Dhall a final year student of electronic and instrumentation a group of students of the university took part in the competition held in U.S.A on June 9.

Of the 35 teams from 10 countries, team WELKINSAT from SRM University comprising eleven students finished second on international plane and first in India scoring 90.93% in the competition and were awarded by $1500 in cash.

It’s an honour to be a part of this team. We worked very hard in this project said Vivek. Describing the project, he said that the competition was on the topic related to space and we launched a model of satellite 12x15 cm lased by GPS navigation System, which can provide the information of weather and humidity. We used three parachutes for different altitudes that were unfolded mechanically reducing the descent rate to five metres per second. It took about 15 seconds to reach the highest altitude and 80 seconds for descend. In every two seconds, it provided information on humidity, temperature, pressure and atmospheric tension. To check accuracy, one team had to put a raw egg inside the Lander, the idea being the egg remained intact without any kind of damage on landing.

The group competed in 3 phases wherein they secured 11th, 7th, and 2nd place internationally. First and second phase was on teleconferencing with NASA scientists and they assessed the work of each team. The final phase was conducted in USA Texas ground USA on 9th June 2012 The three of the member has gone to USA for taking participate in the final competition in which Vivek Ranjan played the role of mentor.

The equal partner in the state JMM has given a clear signal to support Pranab for the sake of nation, denying any kind of political crisis in the state from this decision deputy CM Hemant Soren said that the issue of state and prez election is quite different from each other, it should not be taken on the base of caste, religion and sect. Pranab is a well accepted personality in the country and for a non political constitutional apex post he could be a better option he added.

On Tuesday evening congress leaders Shakil Ahmed, Pradip Balmuchu, state minority welfare minister Hazi Hussain Ansari, opposition leader of state Rajendra singh met Shibu Soren, Hemant Soren and JVM Chief and ex CM Babulal Marandi to ask support for the Pranab. JMM and JVM both having almost equal vote values in the state and both the parties have assured them to support for the congress.
